Seeking Sealed Bids for Petroleum Products

The Washington County School Board is accepting sealed bids for petroleum products necessary for the operation of county-owned buses and vehicles for the period of July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029.

Bid forms and specifications may be obtained from the Washington County School Board Office, 750 Sinclair Street, Chipley, Florida 32428, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. (or click here)

Sealed bids must be clearly marked “Bid on Petroleum Products – Bid #26-17” and delivered to the Superintendent’s Office no later than 10:00 am on June 24, 2026. Bids will be opened at that time and will be formally presented for Board action at the regular meeting of the Board on July 13, 2026.

The Washington County School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process whenever such action is determined to be in the best interest of the District.

Washington County School District School Start Times Survey –

We Need Your Input!

The Washington County School District is recommending that school start times for the 2026-2027 school year remain the same (Option A).

Florida law now gives our School Board the flexibility to decide what works best for our community. We’re asking parents, guardians, teachers, staff, and community members to share your thoughts through a short survey.

Options:

Option A: Keep current bell times

Option B: Move start times to no sooner than 8:30 AM (this would also change dismissal times for all schools)

We’ve considered impacts on transportation, before/after-school care, extracurricular activities, and other areas. Your feedback will be shared with the School Board and included in our report to the Florida Department of Education.
